And also you are not playing with any kind of fairy from any story, this time you are going to. Magic Tooth Fairy Game Contents: 1x Game Board 1x Magical Bed 1x Magic Tooth Fairy 16x Teeth 4x Smile Boards 13x Coins 1x Spinner Instruction sheet. ![]() The two-player board game is estimated to play in 20 minutes to half an hour, with different variants adjusting the level of difficulty, randomisation and player-on-player interaction.īattle Dentale was a finalist for this year’s Cardboard Edison, an award for unpublished board game designs. We are more than happy to offer you the chance to play this Tooth Fairy Dress Up girl game here on our site and that is, first of all, because, as you can see, you actually get to play with a fairy in this girl game and that doesnt happen very often. The players take turns until all the teeth of either colour have been removed, before totalling their scores. Gold crowns add value to capped teeth, with objective cards requesting specific combinations of pulled teeth - such as multiple wisdom teeth. The Tooth Fairy is a little bit forgetful and sometimes he might miss out a house or two, so fly backwards as well as forwards to find all the lost teeth. The tooth fairy and gum goblin can cast magic spells to remove or add decay, with cavities worth less to the fairy, while rotten teeth benefit the goblin. Lining up three or more teeth of the same colour - either white or yellow - allows players to extract multiple teeth in a single go (try not to think about that too much), while landing on your opponent’s space gives you the chance to steal from their tooth collection. ![]() As they move, the players can pull teeth to add them to their collection, fill empty sockets with already pulled teeth or swap a tooth with one adjacent or from their collection. The players move around a board that represents the top and bottom halves of a human jawbone, complete with teeth on each space. To succeed in this game, it’s crucial to pay attention to the game mechanics and employ a mix of tactics to outsmart your opponents. In other words, playing is like pulling teeth - but in a good way. The Tooth Fairy Game is a family-friendly board game, where players collect teeth, leave them for the tooth fairy, and, in return, receive money or other rewards. Battle Dentale might be a board game for those afraid of the dentist to avoid, as the upcoming strategy title tasks players with extracting, filling and swapping teeth in a human jawbone to score points.Ĭreated by designer Emily Willix, Battle Dentale sees one player taking on the role of the tooth fairy on the hunt for pearly whites, while their rival goblin player attempts to yoink yellowed gnashers. ![]() ![]() ![]() Both lenses perform very well in the image center according to reviews but the Zeiss seems very soft in the FX-corners and the Voigtländer produces a nervous Bokeh. But as the dof at f1.4 is pretty shallow make sure that your focusing capabilities are up to that challenge! If so you can choose from the Zeiss ZF.2 Planar T* 50/1.4 at 600 EUR and the Voigtländer SL II Nokton 58/1.4 at 500 EUR. – Then there are other alternatives if you can do with manually focusing the lens. Sony has the AF 50/1.4 and the AF 50/1.4 ZA SSM. – Canon offers the EF 50/1.4 USM plus the EF 50/1.2L USM (see Gordon’s Canon EF 50mm f1.2L USM review). But from what I’ve seen in other reviews the 50/1.4G seems the better choice (see my Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4G review). There’s also Nikon’s old AF 50/1.4D still on offer and it’s the cheapest of the bunch. ![]() – From Nikon there are the AF-S 50/1.4G which is similarly priced to the Sigma or the new and much more expensive 58/1.4G (see my Nikon AF-S 58mm f1.4G review). But if you absolutely want or need f1.4 then you have the following alternatives: The loss of 2/3 of a stop may not be as relevant as the marketing literature is wanting you to believe. The f1.8 versions are definitely worth considering: they are smaller, lighter, cheaper, less obtrusive and often ofter similar – or even superior – image quality than their bigger brothers. There’s no shortage of 50mm lenses on the market, and many camera and lens companies actually offer a choice of apertures too. And if you chose to invest only in one f1.4 lens for your work the combination with 50mm focal length might be your best bet to get a good return on your investment. ![]() The much coveted f1.4 aperture is 2/3 of a stop brighter than the cheaper f1.8 models and also gives you a larger blur-circle on all out-of-focus subjects. Of course when you mount a 50mm lens on a APS-C body it delivers a much more portrait-friendly 80mm equivalent. For that type of shot you better get a 85mm lens for your FX body. But mind you: 50mm focal length on a full-frame / FX body is not considered long enough for a flattering perspective in head-shot type portraits. These lenses produce a life-like perspective and natural look when the images are also viewed from a distance that is equivalent to the diagonal of the print/monitor. Normal-lenses have a focal length that is close to the diagonal of the sensor (43mm for a full-frame / FX-sensor). Its only fault feature-wise is the lack of any sealing against the elements.ĥ0mm is not called a “normal” lens (for full-frame bodies) for no good reason. The score in the “features-department” is 1/8/4. Īperture ring = no, just like all competitors. ĭistance information is relayed to the camera, so the Nikon body can do all the advanced exposure-related stuff with this lens. Nikon’s own allows for three positions so you don’t have to fiddle around until you’ve put it on. Unfortunately the rear lens-cap is of the incredibly dumb designs that can only be screwed on the lens mount in one position. Ĭomes with a nice padded lens pouch (with a belt-loop but no strap), the lens-shade is included, reversible for transport, and the front lens-caps is similar to Nikon’s. Almost any manufacturer offers a 50/1.4 at a similar price. Manual-focus override by simply turning the focus ring Ĭovers full frame/FX or smaller = very good ĪF: HSM (hyper sonic motor), so it does work on camera-bodies that don’t have their own AF-drive. Image stabilization: No, same as any other fixed focal lens below 105mm focal length. ![]() įilter-thread: 77mm = standard of many pro-lenses. The 50/1.4G also offers 45cm (1.5 ft.) but at a slightly larger magnification of 1:6.7. Pretty much standard for “normal” lenses. The lens contains one aspheric element while the 50/1.4G had none. This is about standard for “normal” lenses. But the Sigma is still well balanced on a full-frame body. Clearly bulkier than the 50/1.4G at 74 x 54mm but still not too clunky. Most features are compared to Nikon’s AF-S 50/1.4G. I’ve rated the features with a (or ), when it’s better than average or even state of the art, a if it’s standard or just average, and if there’s a disadvantage. GemDialogue, GemEWizard and GIASquare), there is no universal standard for communicating colour in coloured gemstones. Saturation and transparency typically influence the beauty of a gemstone more than tone.Įven though there are several industry colour grading systems (e.g. Saturation is described as the intensity (strength or purity) of a colour.Tone is the degree of lightness or darkness of a colour. It is described as the shade, tint or sensation of colour. Hue is the position of a colour on a colour wheel. As always, be guided by common sense and your preferences, paying heed to the inherent characteristics of each type. Scrutinising a gemstone under a variety of different light sources before purchasing is definitely a good idea. While some gemstones look better in natural daylight and others in artificial (incandescent) light, a gemstone's colours should ideally remain beautiful in any light source. ![]() In extreme examples, this results in the colour change effect. Even a small variation in the light source can produce a big difference in how we see a gem's colour. It is changes in a light source's component colours that cause gems to look different in dissimilar lighting conditions. If all spectral colours pass through a gem it appears colourless, but if these are all absorbed it will appear black.Ī red gemstone appears red because all the other colours of the spectrum except red are absorbed by the gem. This absorption of certain colours is called the 'selective absorption of light' and is always the same for an individual gemstone. The spectral colours of white light least absorbed combine to produce the colour of the gem. When white light passes through a gem, some of these spectral colours are absorbed. But for most gems, and even most objects, our perception of colour involves an amazing transformation.Īs revealed by rainbows, white light is comprised of the individual colours of the spectrum: blue, green, orange, red, violet and yellow. Some gems, such as Opal, get their colours physically as light is refracted in flashes of colours that change with the angle of observation ('play of colour'). Most things get their colour due to how they react with light. Without colouring elements (and/or colour centres), all Sapphires would be colourless. In their pure state, 'other coloured' minerals are colourless, for example Sapphire. For example, Peridot will always be shades of green from its high iron content, which comprises 12-15 percent of its total mass.Ģ.Other Coloured (Allochromatic): Colour is caused by small amounts of colouring elements that are not part of the mineral's normal crystal structure and/or crystal imperfections (colour centres). In general, intense colours are more favoured than those that are dark or light, but there are exceptions, for example, that Victorian favourite, Rose de France Amethyst.īut how does colour actually work? Simplistically, gemstone colour occurs in two ways:ġ.Self Coloured (Idiochromatic): A colouring element is incorporated into the mineral's crystal structure, always giving it a characteristic colour. Inversely, if a gem's colour is popular and it's rare, such as Paraíba Tourmaline or Padparadscha Sapphire, then you've got a gemstone superstar. Fashion is easy to understand, it's all about colour popularity if no one finds a gem's colour attractive, then its rarity really doesn't matter. The most valuable colours depend on two factors, fashion and rarity. It will come as no surprise that the more attractive a gem's colour, the higher the value. This is not to say that there are no colour paradigms in gemstones, there certainly are, but these should never be at the expense of personal preferences. But like everything to do with beauty, it is highly subjective and at the end of the day, in the eye of the beholder. Yellow Sapphire is an 'other coloured' gemstoneĬolour is the single most important factor when assessing coloured gemstones. ![]() ![]() ![]() Proceeds from the event will benefit the Clearview Legacy Foundation, celebrating Renee Powell and her father’s legacy through Clearview Golf Club. A majority of our Chinese participants used mobile login during our testing sessions. In contrast to our American participants, few Chinese participants had issues with their passwords.Ī major contributing factor to this difference is the prevalence of mobile-login methods in China, which allow users to authenticate on a desktop site using their smartphone, without having to remember a password. “I have to remember so many different passwords for everything!”, she complained. One American participant tried 7 different passwords for her Google account with no luck, and then finally gave up. These problems ranged from being unable to gain access to an account having to reset a password and needing to switch to another device where the participants were already logged in. Many of the United States participants complained about remembering passwords or actually encountered account-login problems due to forgotten passwords during the study.
